It Strictly speaking that's still not correct English - "performance counters" is plural, the "kernel-based subsystem" is singular, and 'provide' assumes plural again. Perhaps "Performance counters for Linux are provided by a new kernel-based subsystem that provides a framework ..." ... but I don't know anything about this subsystem, so that might be wrong. Richard
