package: linux-image-amd64
The card reader is device 8086:9df5 and seems to use the sdhci_pci module. I tested with Buster which is kernel 4.19 at the time of testing. The following message is printed multiple times in dmesg but the card reader does not start.

[ 194.701899] sdhci-pci 0000:00:14.5: SDHCI controller found [8086:9df5] (rev 11)

In other distros (Arch and Ubuntu with a combination of kernels 4.18, 4.19, and 4.20) where the card reader works, the above message is printed once in addition to a few more messages which are.

[ 9.461848] sdhci-pci 0000:00:14.5: enabling device (0000 -> 0002)
[ 9.465085] mmc0: SDHCI controller on PCI [0000:00:14.5] using ADMA
