Source: initramfs-tools Version: 0.130 Severity: wishlist bcache-tools currently just calls "update-initramfs -u" from its postinst. On initial review, this seemed inefficient to me over using the trigger. It looks like you actually wrap yourself to activate the trigger, so in practice it makes no difference. I wondered whether you have any preference or recommendation on which method to use, and I couldn't find anything. I looked for a README.Debian and in update-initramfs(8). I asked on IRC, and smcv suggested that given you support a trigger, that's probably the preferred way, but there was a suggestion that I should file a bug for you to document this, so here it is. Please document how you recommend that other package maintainer scripts should request an initramfs update. While you're there, debian/README looks pretty out of date, too :) Thanks, Robie
