Thanks for providing that patch, sadly it doesn't seem to be enough.
`cat /proc/partitions` is empty and I'm stuck in busybox/initramfs
during boot:

(initramfs) dmesg | grep megaraid
[    2.735633] megaraid_sas 0000:08:00.0: Waiting for FW to come to ready state
(initramfs) modinfo megaraid_sas | grep -i 001c
alias:          pci:v00001000d0000001Csv*sv*sd*bc*sc*i*
