Hi,
The initramfs-tools-core package in Ubuntu (version 0.125ubuntu9) supports a very useful kernel boot option "loop=":
loop= "<path to image>"
path within the original root file system to loop-mount and use
as the real root file system.
However, the current Debian package (version 0.130) does not support it. Are there any plans to include this feature in Debian as well?
Thanks and regards,
Lukasz
