A series of very-similar-looking RCU stalls happened again a week later.
The machine is under moderate load most of the time.

I switched to running Jessie's kernel, and the machine has now been
completely reliable for over a month.

Linux lander 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.43-2+deb8u2 (2017-06-26) x86_64 GNU/Linux

# cat /proc/cmdline
