Source: linux Version: 7.1.9-1 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-alpha@lists.debian.org, debian-powerpc@lists.debian.org, debian-sparc@lists.debian.org User: debian-powerpc@lists.debian.org Usertags: powerpc User: debian-alpha@lists.debian.org Usertags: alpha User: debian-sparc@lists.debian.org Usertags: sparc64 Hello, the SMP kernels can be used on non-SMP systems alpha, powerpc and sparc64 without any restrictions. Thus, in order to reduce the complexity of the kernel configuration and avoid accidental installations of non-SMP kernels on SMP systems, I suggest to drop the SMP flavors on alpha, powerpc and sparc64 and just enable SMP support for all kernel flavors on these architectures.
