I have three different systems:


      00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation CoffeeLake-S
      GT2 [UHD Graphics 630] (rev 02)


      00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation CoffeeLake-U
      GT3e [Iris Plus Graphics 655] (rev 01)

and all three have the same symptoms.

So I suppose the vendor of the VGA is not an issue.
