This is what I get when starting VLC for termial using Debian
kernel 6.1.0 (not freezing when switching channels):

At this point VLC is frozen for the most part (video) and shutdown will
not complete.


The reason I posted this bug against the kernel and not against VLC is
that I assume this behaviour is against the do-not-break-userspace-rule.
