Package: firmware-nonfree When an end user want to install firmware for the wireless cards, they need to know which chip is build into their computer, to get the correct Debian package name. If Debian would provide a meta package for all wireless/wlan firmware packages, the end user only need to install this package. We already have firmware-linux-nonfree and firmware-misc-nonfree (which do not depend on the wireless firmware packages) so maybe the new name could be firmware-wireless-nonfree. I found these package that include firmware for wireless cards. atmel-firmware firmware-atheros firmware-brcm80211 firmware-ipw2x00 firmware-iwlwifi firmware-libertas firmware-ralink firmware-zd1211 firmware-brcm80211 firmware-ti-connectivity -- regards Thomas
