Please try to migrate soon, and at this point, to guile-3.0 if possible.
Otherwise we might need to consider removing the package from Debian.

Sometimes it's sufficient to just update the build dependency from say
guile-2.0-dev to guile-3.0-dev and adjust some of the related versions
in configure.ac (or configure.in).

I may investigate further myself if I have time, but please don't rely
on that.

As far as I'm concerned, you can feel free to remove geda-gaf from Debian.

I'm personally quite happily living on the fork that I've packaged of
lepton-eda.  Lepton-eda is very actively maintained and improved, and
while there's a recent new release of geda-gaf, I'm not likely to spend
any more time working on the geda-gaf packaging.

This is absolutely not true for geda-gaf, the recent release still
demands guile-2.0.  If someone actually wants to fix geda-gaf to work
with guile-2.2 or later, my suggestion would be to look at how
lepton-eda fixed the scheme code in question.

Aren't there any features in gEDA 1.10 that aren't present in Lepton EDA 
?
