Message-ID<rtYmd-UR-7@gated-at.bofh.it>
Package: mutt-patched
Version: 1.6.0-1
Severity: normal

Dear maintainers,

Recently, the first letter of Mailboxes's names is being "stripped" in
mutt-pached. I am sending attached to this bug report a screenshot so that you
can see. This is not an important bug, but it is annoying. I solved this by
adding the following¹:

    set sidebar_shortpath=yes

But I lost the nested view of my GMail IMAP folders. According to Ref.¹ it is
a problem with mutt-patched source code.

Can you please provide your muttrc? I cannot reproduce that behaviour with mine, but would guess you are just using some setting I do not (or vice-versa) and that triggers that off-by-one somewhere.

Confirmed, I'm seeing the same issue.

The responsible upgrade on my (testing) laptop is this one (from
dpkg.log):

  2016-05-04 20:55:18 upgrade notmuch-mutt:all 0.21-3 0.22-1

The same upgrade also broke this setting from my .muttrc:

  # set sidebar_delim_chars="/"

which I had to comment out as it's no longer recognized. But I've no
idea whether this is related to the first-letter bug or not.

Cheers.

I have just tested by commenting this on my .muttrc, but the problem is still
there. :(
