Hello dear maintainer!

I noted Ismail kindle provided a fix that LGTM.

Seems to be an easy fix. I can NMU if that's ok for you. Also I can prepare a pu
for trixie.

Thanks for your in the package!

thanks for the proposal.
I did upload the fix to unstable just now.

Regarding trixie yes I will let it to you. The fix must be done against the kwin source not kwin-x11 since this was pre-split. I created a debian/trixie branch in the salsa repo if you could submit the changes as an MR against this branch it would be appreciated.

Depending on what you mean by « first go to testing » this may or may not be possible.

- If uploading the equivalent change to testing is OK, then it went into kwin-x11 4:6.5.4-4 uploaded today.
- If you mean making the same change to the same package source package then that’s not possible. The fix affects bin:kwin-x11 which moved from src:kwin to src:kwin-x11 between trixie and forky.

OK then it should be fixed in unstable. If @Emmanuel and @Ismail could confirm it’s OK for you that would be helpful.

Yes the fix is in kwin-x11in unstable.

Yes same codebase, but someone need to do the fix there. src:kwin-x11 in unstable/forky is a split of the X11 code from monolithic src:kwin we shipped in trixie. So the same change [1] needs to be done against src:kwin in trixie.

I was asking the people affected if they could confirm the fix is OK in unstable. The build logs say it's good but I haven't tested the result myself.

Hello Aurélien. I tested the fix in a Debian unstable VM (because I run
trixie on the bare metal) and it appears to be working as expected.

Thank you everyone for your efforts in fixing this bug.
