Thanks! Andrew [1] https://salsa.debian.org/debian/opensysusers/-/merge_requests/5

I have also added an autopkgtest, similar to with the recent uid-gid patch. I think this is worth fixing sooner or later, as it could soon break services expecting the user to be present. I notice your packages are designated LowNMU and hope you don't mind if I propose an update with my patch, that could be superseded if upstream come up with an alternative implementation?

Hi Andrew, I’m currently super busy with a lot of non-Debian things, and cannot look into this now. Anyone is welcome to upload a fix! Bye :)

I am willing to sponsor Andrew’s patch for opensysusers, but before doing it I noticed the following requirement on LowThresholdNmu: > Please upload with dgit and commit the fixes to the package VCS While I have no problem with updating the Salsa repositories, I am not a dgit user and am not currently willing to learn new tools for an upload. Is dgit usage a hard requirement, or would you be OK with a regular SSH upload through dput(-ng)?

Don’t worry, if you don’t want to do it I’ll fix it myself later :) In any case, it’s pretty easy to do. You just have to do “dgit push-source” instead of “dput myfile.changes” Thanks and bye! opensysusers 0.7.3-5.1 has been reviewed and uploaded (dgit has not been updated), I’m updating the Salsa repository right after I have sent this message.
