Message-ID<LCASe-2YSH-7@gated-at.bofh.it>
Package: src:deja-dup
Version: 49.0-1
Severity: serious
Tags: ftbfs forky sid

Dear maintainer:

During a rebuild of all packages in unstable, this package failed to build.

Below you will find the last part of the build log (probably the most
relevant part, but not necessarily). If required, the full build log
is available here:

https://people.debian.org/~sanvila/build-logs/202510/

About the archive rebuild: The build was made on virtual machines from AWS,
using sbuild and a reduced chroot with only build-essential packages.

If you cannot reproduce the bug please contact me privately, as I
am willing to provide ssh access to a virtual machine where the bug is
fully reproducible.

If this is really a bug in one of the build-depends, please use
reassign and add an affects on src:deja-dup, so that this is still
visible in the BTS web page for this package.

Thanks.

Are you still experiencing this issue? deja-dup 49.0-1 builds ok for me today.

Thank you,

I see inconsistent failures on the aarch64 CI builder upstream too. But I don't have easy access to an ARM and thought maybe it was unique to my CI.

Looking at these logs more closely, I see a lot of warnings about using g_setenv after threads are created. That sounds like the sort of thing that might cause flaky, architecture-dependent failures. So I reorganized the tests a little to avoid it:

https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/deja-dup/-/commit/f82d49984533dc73157ff8dc0038084a4174e8c1

I don't know if that fixes the failures, but maybe? I'd like to fix them too, I've just not been able to reproduce it myself.
