Package: debian-installer Version: Trixie RC2 Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: stefan@vinter.is -- System Information: Debian Release: 13.0 APT prefers testing-security APT policy: (500, 'testing-security'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.33+deb13-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled I selected GB_EN as install language. I selected Swedish Keyboard layout. At login with lxqt, there is only US keyboard.

Sadly you did not provide installation logs, but we need them for debugging. See https://d-i.debian.org/manual/en.amd64/ch05s04.html#submit-bug 2. Some testing seems to show to me, that the keyboard layout is set correctly, so maybe it's an issue of the lxqt desktop environment you chose. Can you confirm, that in the installer environment, the layout was incorrectly set? So for example, when typing in the root password during the installation process, did you have US keyboard or Swedish? I did a test installation with exactly these settings, and I get the same result as Stefan: on the login screen, only US layout is presented. However, /etc/default/keyboard has: XKBMODEL="pc105" XKBLAYOUT="se" XKBVARIANT= XKBOPTIONS= So the installer worked correctly.
