This began failing between 2023-06-19 and 2023-07-01 in experimental (unstable also has #1040746, experimental doesn't), which if the trigger is gegl, means between gegl 0.4.44 and 0.4.46: https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/history/gnome-photos.html It is still failing (gegl 0.4.50), in both gnome-photos 44.0 (experimental) and "43.1" ( https://salsa.debian.org/rnpalmer-guest/gnome-photos/-/tree/fix1040746?ref_type=heads ). Looking at the upstream gegl history https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gegl/-/compare/GEGL_0_4_44...GEGL_0_4_46#25730c59c434d67cf66e9744518b755e9a2d9841 the obvious guess is the switch from gegl_node_connect_from/to to gegl_node_connect: perhaps this is a case where the direction can't be automatically detected.
