Package: paraview Followup-For: Bug #842405 Control: tags 842405 moreinfo HDF5 is a general data format, it has no natural viewing format. When you load a file into paraview you need to specify which reader you want to open it with. Which reader are you expecting to use with your .h5 file? Your test file does not crash with H5PartReader or HDF5 Rage Reader.
