SubjectBug#1016390: ITP: progressbar2 -- Text progress bar library for Python
Message-ID<EP2OJ-eUBk-1@gated-at.bofh.it>
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Edward Betts <edward@4angle.com>

* Package name    : progressbar2
  Version         : 4.0.0
  Upstream Author : Rick van Hattem (Wolph) <wolph@wol.ph>
* URL             : https://github.com/WoLpH/python-progressbar
* License         : BSD-3-clause
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : Text progress bar library for Python

  A text progress bar is typically used to display the progress of a long
  running operation, providing a visual cue that processing is underway.
  .
  The ProgressBar class manages the current progress, and the format of the
  line is given by a number of widgets. A widget is an object that may display
  differently depending on the state of the progress bar.

I plan to maintain this package as part of the Python modules team.

what's the plan regarding the current python3-progressbar package?

I was thinking about packaging 'grow', a file-based static site generator,
progressbar2 is one of the dependencies.

https://pypi.org/project/grow/

I've not looked at python3-progressbar.
