Are there any problems with the current symbols? Compared with the previous version - 5.4.1-1~exp1, I have updated the symbols file And Lintian did not report any problems with symbols when I compiled it. Looks like your version of symbols is ok for gcc-10, but will fail for gcc-11. I guess we can worry once gcc default is bumped. After discussion, our team(pkg-deepin) decided to remove the symbols, Because all deepin packages are maintained by our team (pkg-deepin), So symbols of dtk(deepin toolkit) projects are meaningless. Actually, symbols are meant for auto-generating versions in Depends: field, to tell the minimal version of the library that matches the ABI. But, managing symbols for C++ code is notoriously hard, thus dropping them is not a problem. There's another issue, though. The packaging includes a number of changes that are not mentioned in the changelog -- and at least adding a new binary package requires a different type of upload. Thus: please mention packaging changes inside debian/changelog.
