SubjectBug#968391: Please support the Librem 5
Message-ID<ADElP-gq-5@gated-at.bofh.it>
Package: flash-kernel
Version: 3.102
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch

To make it simpler to run plain Debian on the Librem 5 it would be great
to have flash-kernel support. The device tree is in the process of being
upstreamed:

    https://lore.kernel.org/linux-arm-kernel/20200731082725.21878-1-martin.kepplinger@puri.sm/

Patch at:

    https://salsa.debian.org/installer-team/flash-kernel/-/merge_requests/22

Remaining blockers for using plain Debian are uboot and atf support but
the uboot/atf shipped with the device is able to boot Debian kernels
just fine.

Cheers,
 -- Guido

The DTS is in linux-next now so on it's way for 5.10:

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/next/linux-next.git/tree/arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/imx8mq-librem5.dtsi
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/next/linux-next.git/tree/arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/imx8mq-librem5-r2.dts
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/next/linux-next.git/tree/arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/imx8mq-librem5-r3.dts
