Yes I'm sort of sorry for that. I know it's not the usual NMU
procedure. I thought about it quite before doing so, and decided to
opt that way since all previous uploads were NMUs so far.

I would really be happy to see that all fine with Aron, and hope as
well to see an update of libxml2 to the new upstream version done by
maintainers.
