I created https://salsa.debian.org/debian/debmirror/-/merge_requests/15 
that introduces a new command line argument --ignore-missing-arch-all 
and is less intrusive than 
https://salsa.debian.org/debian/debmirror/-/merge_requests/7

That patch fixes the problem for me.
