Dear Maintainer,
 the version of linkchecker packaged for Debian comes from
  https://github.com/wummel/linkchecker
 This version hasn't been maintained for years.  It was forked and 
 is now maintained at https://github.com/linkchecker/linkchecker

 The new version runs with Python 3,
