The packaging itself is pretty much done, I think (at least, I don't
recall leaving any notable issues open).

The larger problem are the vast number of reverse build dependencies.
The diligent way to progress would be to upload a version to
experimental and do a mass rebuild there, first. I've agreed with Ondřej
(the maintainer) to wait for the green light on that.

An alternative would be to try a mass-rebuild locally. I've never tried
ratt[1], but perhaps it's trivial, so if you want to give that a try, go
ahead :-)
