in realtà fa solo parte di un sistema di comunicazione in caso di 
maltempo atmosferico (DECOR - diffusion des données d'environnement 
contròle d'Orly et de Roissy), ma cmq essenziale in quel caso :D

tanto che un suo problema ha comportato il fermo precauzionale dei 
decolli dall'aeroporto di Orly a causa della nebbia

non solo 3.1, comunque: "The tools used by Aéroports de Paris 
controllers run on four different operating systems, that are all 
between 10 and 20 years old,"
"Some of ADP's machines run on UNIX [an operating system favored by 
universities and start-ups in the '80s], but also Windows XP,"

Non sorprendentemente, questo comporta qualche problema di personale 
tecnico e relative competenze in materia:
"The issue with a system that old is that people don't like to do 
maintenance work," explained Fiacre. "Furthermore, we are starting to 
lose the expertise [to deal] with that type of operating system. In 
Paris, we have only three specialists who can deal with DECOR-related 
issues," said Fiacre.

"One of them is retiring next year, and we haven't found anyone to 
replace him," he added.

Altri ovvi problemi sul lato hardware, "Sometimes we have to go 
rummaging on eBay to replace certain parts," said Fiacre. "In any case, 
these machines were not designed to keep working for more than 20 years."

beh nel 2005 trenitalia usava ancora macchine nt
e conoscendo la proverbiale magrezza delle loro casse non mi stupirei 
che ci siano ancora macchine nt in funzione. :-D

qualche anno prima roma termini quando il software di gestione schermo 
sui binari aveva qualche problema vedevi il post delle macchine 
riavviate.... cpu: 80486.

A Fiumicino il software di gestione schermi va con Windows 7 Embedded
