I see no evidence that the new free.3d-printing is either unserious or a
spamtrap. Take a look yourself. As I said, I've seen some on-topic
discussion and no spam.
And free.* is different from the Big 8, with deliberately looser rules
and guidelines. (I'm actually not familiar with the free.* hierarchy,
other than browsing the list of newsgroups carried by ES. I'm more
familiar with the older alt.*, which also has deliberately looser rule
and guidelines.) If you know more than I do about how free.* is
intended to be administered, feel free to share your knowledge.

That you don't like the way free.3d-printing is equally irrelevant.

Is bullying the person who requested a new free.* newsgroup an antispam
measure?
The newsgroup has been created, is carried by eternal-september, and has
valid traffic, including a number of topical posts by scole.
This will probably be my last post on the topic.
