I've still not got the tech guys to fix this issue but I'm chasing it.

Until then, the site is 'safe'.

Thanks,

Shaun

Hi,

Again there is a certificate error so I've spoken to the tech guru server guys to fix it.

In other news, I've added one new feature to the site.

I'm going to be reviewing the remaining entries to date shortly, but with the server cert issue, I'll post the reviews here as well.

Regards,

Shaun.

You no longer require jQuery knowledge to see the hidden feature on the home page, as follows:

Enjoy!

Haven't been able to send my submission to your email address as it's returning a failure to deliver message (with and without the ZX). It's 'Planet Survival' - a text-based resource management game with the aim of escaping from an alien planet you've crash-landed on. Works on a 48k Speccy.

Download the .tap file (not zipped): https://app.box.com/s/pf047jt3d3cu295xnm5mcctyihndgl10

Here's the review of Advanced Election Simulator aka 2018 Turkey Presidency Elections Advanced Opposition Simulator that I'm just about to put on the CGC site:

In a nut-shell: An accurate simulation of how Elections work
Developer: Anonymous

Democracies around the world seem to be, to put it mildly, somewhat in meltdown whilst satirical writers are having probably amongst the best years of their lives with such easy targets as Theresa "Strong and Stable" May, Donald "Ronald McDonald" Trump and whoever the current Brexit secretary is. But not so for the flagship democracy of Turkey, as Advanced Election Simulator aka 2018 Turkey Presidency Elections Advanced Opposition Simulator allows you to explore.

Starting the game by selecting your political party to run for the Presidency of Turkey, of which there are five to choose, you must then guide it to success; the Patriotic Idiots Party is usually choice. After this, each of the five choices are put to the people, and this is where it gets interesting. You are then given options to influence the next election, including options to commit electoral fraud. Yikes! Each choice will influence the next election.

Advanced Election Simulator aka 2018 Turkey Presidency Elections Advanced Opposition Simulator is an intriguing game that'll have you hooked!

Summary: Electioneering has never been so much fun!
Graphics: 6
Playability: 8
Addictiveness: 8
Total: 8

You read it here first.

Hello,

Exciting news as we near the end of the CGC 2018 -> the loser as defined by rule VII, as follows:

"The loser will be the person who submits an entry that is actually playable, the sort of game that you would consider loading twice because the first time provided something close to fun. This person will receive a pack of Chewits"

will receive a brand spanking new TheC64Mini console.

You see what I did there. Loser. C64. Nuff sed.

Winner's prizes will be announced, i.e., the actual winner and the winner that Sinclair BASIC decides.

I know it's been a bit rocky this year, but hopefully it's been better that last year's CGC which took ages to update anything. Hopefully I've done a little bit better this time.

Regards,

Shaun.
