I was just browsing through and saw this. I was at the Washington DC. One I believe I was 17 or 18 at the time and I took the train there. I'll see if I can remember anymore details. I viewed those pics back when they were posted hear. I didn't see me or Frank Davis. We used an entire Holidome (Holiday Inn) for the event, using all the meeting space at that Holidome. We situated the event at a location that had several other hotels/motels within walking distance. the place was packed almost all the time we had the event scheduled. Photo documenting was something we forgot. :-( I seem to recall almost anyone who was dealers at the time were present. We heard tell of one attendee who flew in Saturday, got a ride from the airport via the hotel shuttle, and had to get back to the airport later that day to pilot an airliner back to where ever he flew from. The Indy event even had press coverage reported in the Wall Street Journal. As part of the Promotions effort for the show we ran a 24/7 BBS on a Timex 2068 for maybe 8 to 10 months before the show. A REAL working BBS, even had a messages segment in the program. As Mechanical Affinity we (frank, his wife and I) participated in events in Rhode Island, Ohio, Wisconsin, I recall a trip to Canada with a station wagon full of stuff, and I have faint recollections of a few other places but can't dredge those up at this time. Many people with postural defects ;-) Lest said. Some of them are wearing the cravat to its right length, though. A small party, but IMO a nice party :) -- Daniel Mandic
