The Centre for Computing History in Cambridge has had a preview of the ZX Spectrum Bluetooth keyboard.
The device has received the thumbs-up from Rick Dickinson and Jason Fitzpatrick who has ordered sixteen for the software workshops.

Interesting times.

Does it have a metal-plate around the keys, as the original. Is
multi-touch available, as on the original?

I would prefer if it could run on rechargeable AA-batteries, since the
rechargeable AAA-batteries often break after short time.

It would also be great if you could mount a Raspberry Pi inside. It
could even be prepared for this.

I've succeeded in connecting a Bluetooth keyboard to the Raspberry Pi 1
A. This BT-keyboard uses two AAA-batteries, but I have a
2.4GHz-proprietary-protocol-keyboard that uses just 1 AA-battery. It
also claims 1 battery can last one year. I would prefer if the ZX
Spectrum BT-keyboard uses very low power.

There is a bit more about this in The Daily Star.

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/tech/427937/Remastered-ZX-Spectrum-exclusive-hands-on

The story is much like the museum one and one wonders who is writing the publicity blurb.
The 'prototype' cost £30,000 so there is not much left-over-lolly for manufacture and certification.

In other news a London Bus has been found on the moon...

Actually my chums at The Daily Star have been on to me and this prototype is fully functionally.
I am humbled.
It was The Sunday Sport that ran the bus story a while back and I may cancel that and get the Star now.

It's a good idea and back in 1997, when Cliff Lawson was still working for Amstrad, a pal of mine
suggested a similar idea to him in this very newsgroup

Nice to see such interfaces materializing.

The Recreated ZX Spectrum has surfaced at the EGX exhibition in London today and the demo playing Chuckie Egg on a tablet via Bluetooth looks good.

Here is a video of it unplugged from two weeks ago

Sound is a bit faint.
