Howdy, fellow Speccists! It's been what, 15 years since the last time I posted here? Anyway, I heard about a "The Spectrum" (hardware replica of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum), and I wondered if anybody here knew anything about it. Is it "official"? Is it any good? Has anybody seen/touched a prototype? -- | | |_|_|___ ___ ___ | il biggo. So the hardware and the bundled licensed games are legit, although they obviously don't get the license to use the trademarks "Sinclair" or "ZX Spectrum". However, two of the people heading up Retro Games Ltd are Paul Andrews and Chris Smith. They were previously directors of Retro Computers Ltd, which was responsible for the ill-fated Spectrum Vega. So take that as you will.

Good, it's not some kid in daddy's garage :D > However, two of the people heading up Retro Games Ltd are Paul Andrews > and Chris Smith. It would be fun buying my last Speccy 41 years after my first one. If it gets actually finished and marketed, I'm probably going to get it. -- | | |_|_|___ ___ ___ | il biggo.
