I bought a GadMei TV3488E ComboTV Box.

This allows me to connect the aerial lead to the box and tune it like a TV.
The output is to a standard VGA Monitor.

Here's a link to their latest version on their website.
http://www.gadmei.lk/gadmei-lcd-series-tv5821e.php

I can connect any retro computer in my colection that has the standard
aerial ouput etc.

Cheers

I'been searching for that specific model, and could find one on ebay.
As "analog TV tuner", you can find nothing but old analog TV circuitry

Thanks,
Pedro

this on ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ViewSonic-NextVision-N4-Computer-Monitor-Video-Processor-RF-RCA-S-Video-to-VGA-/350910114341?pt=US_Video_Cables_Adapters&hash=item51b3df6a25

As far as I'm aware, the only way is as suggested in the previous message,
assuming you do not want to get very complicated and open up the speccy.
I'm not up to speed on current PC monitor connections, but I seem to
rmember they were mostly RGB wheras the Spectrum only has the difference
signals and a composite analogue video present internally.

The latter could be used with some monitors as I notice one I have has a
phono socket for this, but not all do.

Analog TV tuners are not so easy to find on sites like ebay as TV is now
boradcasted through DVB and they are no longer used as tuners. Perhaps from
time to time something will appear for sale on the internet. I'll try to
check.

Thanks for your advice,
Pedro
