Yes, I have.  That's why AWSXP never launched...

Anyway, I have a great sort-of-alternative name for my idea.  And it's
Easter soon, so I'll probably have a ridiculous amount of time to
waste.  Even though it'll probably only take an hour to write (I
figure if I spend longer than an hour, it's too polished for a crap
game).

I've just spent about half of that hour on "research"[1] and the
loading screen.

The game is guaranteed to be a crock of shite (or something).

As it's BASIC's 50th anniversary this year (1st May according to an article on Time.com) I really should do some real BASIC programming and enter another super advanced game. Just need some inspiration... hmm...

It's not "Super Advanced," however, how about a UDG version of GBA real-time strategy classic; "Advanced Wars"? 

Wait.. You could call it BASIC Wars! That's CSSCGC gold right there! :D

For shame, I have not played Advanced Wars on the GBA, so I don't know how the
game mechanic works to make a new version of it.

I'll think of something.
