For any who are interested a new Usenet newsgroup has been set up
focussing on Raspberry Pi computers.

For info on the machine see

  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi

The new Usenet group went live on 2 April 2013 and is named

  comp.sys.raspberry-pi

The group is already widely carried but if your Usenet provider does
not make it available to you you may want to ask them to add it. Those
that have been asked seem to have started supporting the new group
very quickly.

For any whose provider is slow to add the new group there are at least
three free services that can be used to access it: eternal-
september.org, Google Groups, and aioe.org. All three carry the group.
Eternal September has the messages from day one. The other two started
supporting it a day or so later.

This announcement is being sent to various newsgroups where the RPi
has previously been discussed but feel free to tell others who might
be interested if they don't already know.

James

And news.individual.net for peanuts more than free and very reliable.

I asked my provider (Demon) to add the newsgroup and it is now there. I
was interested to learn that there is now an x86 emulator available that
will run (some) DOS programs.
