Because I am extremely busy with my new job, I have no plans to rehost my website in the foreseeable future (my current contract expires in December 2011). I do intend to rehost it eventually, but it's a lot of work, as I will have to edit every single page to fit the new host that I will choose. Permission to rehost content from my website is granted on condition that no money is exchanged, and that I am acknowledged as the author. -- Dr. Andrew Broad P.S. Did you have absolute host-specific references in all your pages? And even then, isn't is automatable? Walk through all pages replacing "http://oldsitename" with "http://newsitename". JGH

In fact, the main editing required is that every page has <P>Advert added by Sqweebs:</ P> at the bottom. Sure, I could write a program to iterate over all my pages and fix that, but I have higher priorities for the very limited free time that I now have, and researching free web-hosts isn't up there either. -- Dr. Andrew Broad P.S. Sorry to hear that Andrew. Although good that you are busy with work, if that's what you want.

In fact, the main > editing required is that every page has <P>Advert added by Sqweebs:</ Ah yes, many of my pages have "Hosted by Force9" on them - ironic as Force9 is a PlusNet product name they don't use any more. ;) From time to time I get emails from people pointing out broken links on my site. But, considering that there's 55,000 files on there, I'm happy with 98% working links - which would still leave 1100 broken links in there, and squeezing out that extra 2% just isn't worth the effort to track them down as a specific task. A couple of minutes with the Wayback Machine shows no copies of Andrew's site recorded. Did anybody take a snapshot while it was online? I was in the middle of preparing for a housemove so didn't get the chance myself. JGH

If not, I bet somebody on the MM/JSW Yahoo! group has got a copy. Eq.

I don't think I've changed anything under http://www.oocities.org/andrewbroad/spectrum/willy/ apart from updating index.html, but when I switched from GeoCities to Sqweebs in October 2009, I upgraded http://www.oocities.org/andrewbroad/spectrum/download/ to my new format and reissued all my products, adding an HTML page for each. When I rehost my site, I'll have to reissue them all again. -- Dr. Andrew Broad P.S. I'm posting this with an invalid email-address.
