Hello everyone!

A few of us in #speccy have been discussing the possibility of
considering thinking about having a meet, but oop north for a change, so
that people who can't make it to the usual ones in London, or indeed who
just fancy a change, can make it to this one.

We were thinking about Carlisle, to give folks from Scotland (myself
included!) a chance to get there, as well as people from the north of
England. Of course, if you're further afield and think you can still
make it, you'd be more than welcome!

As always with these announcements, we're testing the water at the
moment. It would be a few months away, possibly around the end of October.

If any of you are up for it, please let me know!

Thanks,
Marko

I'm very far from UK but... about Berwick-on-tyne ? looks being a nice
place, and on the actual border between the England and Scotland.

Best regards from Italy,
dott. Piergiorgio.

You already know this, as we discussed it at length, but I thought I'd
dig out Xnews for the first time in about two years to confirm my
attendance, I'll be up for it, seeing as it's a short train ride
(consisting of two, rather long train rides) from Hartlepool to Carlisle,
so I'm certainly up for that.

Given good weather, Carlisle is pretty easy to reach from Devil's
Island so that would be a good place.

This is still on, BTW. Definitely October 26, in Carlisle. Suggestions
for pubs welcome!

OK then - we've had a hard time choosing a venue out of the 1 suggestion
we received, but I think we have a winner!

26 October 2013 at Hell Bellow & Co - 14-16 Devonshire Street, Carlisle,
CA3 8LP

Be there or be... somewhere else. Or something.

Be there or be (Integer) out of range!

Unfortunately I will be out of range, as I can't afford that kind of train
fare at the moment. Have fun!

Eq.
