what? Is he still in the gaming industry?

He's now in web development, and wrote the O'Reilly book Supercharged 
Javascript Graphics, as mentioned in this recent thread...

What's so shameful about it? Maybe because of him, someday your browser could be showing you a game which looks like a Wii U one? (I've never seen the console myself).

Yes, besides that, he's also mentioned in the beginning of the book "Javascript: The definitive guide" by David Flanagan (also O'Reilly) as having reviewed the chapters on JQuery and the <canvas> tag.
