So many threads on there to catch up on. Oooh, that database error is driving me bonkers. So what's the issue? Anyone know? Easy-fix?

I do hope there's no lasting damage.

Is that even possible? That'd be awful if it was a deliberate attack. :(

Andrew mentioned there was some sql in one of Patrik Rak's posts but I'm
sure that wouldn't be deliberate.

You can still view the posts (a hint - click on the number under "replies")
but it's a bit of a faff. I expect it'll be sorted soon, but in the
meantime let's all write a CSSCGC entry!

As far as I know, such error means exactly what it is stated - Database error on server got corrupted. Usually it is enough to execute simple SQL repair command, and in severe causes just restore database from backup (I do not know if WoS have them).

The servers are off-line now, so I guess the real work is being done.
Come back soon, WoS!

I'd love to write another CrapGame. Got some ideas, but no impetus. Same ol' story.

Just describe the dinner. Think of it like a text adventure.

Here's mine:
You are in a large room with a table. You can see a bowl of Doritos and a cheese roll. A half-eaten cucumber is partially wrapped in cling-film.

Two generous Cheshire cheese slices peer out. Apart from a layer of butter, there's scant else in there.

TAKE ROLL.

You take the roll, and on discovering it contains butter at the same time as cheese, discard it onto the pavement outside. A large lesser black backed gull flies off with it, and minutes later you see her distant silhouette dropping it into the sea.

You go back inside, and see a large Quorn vindaloo and crafty pint of Hobgoblin. The grating tones of a jubilant Geoffrey Boycott knead the airwaves.

You can also hear Jonathan Agnew.

Exits are EAST and WEST.

GET VINDALOO
Nahnahnah. Nahnahnah. Nahnahnah. Nahnahnah. Nahnahnah.

EXAMINE PINT
It looks like it's been out of the fridge for a while. In fact, it seems
a bit warm.

DRINK PINT
You quaff the pint. You then discover that whoever has been in this
kitchen has been using the pint glass as a latrine.

Exits are still EAST and WEST

EAST

You head out of the door feeling a tad bilious after the low quality ale.

You can see a locked door with the BROTHEL above it.

You also can see the bright lights of the central business district to the NORTH or the local boozer to the SOUTH.

What next?
