Gawd, 2003... I've a vague feeling it did, actually, but it was a while
ago. (Longer than I thought; I remember that post, and I'd have sworn
it was more like 2013.) Mind you, Rick Dickinson posted a lot of his
Sinclair work to Flickr, and the paste-ups for some of the manual
covers were among it, so I may be thinking of that.

Now here is the thing, the one annoying thing about the original Speccy 
manual was the  plastic binding that cut the paper after a while so the 
pages tended to tear. The zx81 had a proper ring binder.
 Of course when Amstrad took over full marks to them for  putting the 
complete manual back in with the plus 3 extras, but the binding was a cheap 
paperback one which was rubbish, and the cover art was pretty bland too. Of 
course the very worst manual for falling apart was the Locomotive Basic one 
with never  drying glue syndrome, so the pages started to detach the first 
time is was opened.
