The commode presumably is for the best written most playable (AKA, utter
failure at being crap) game presumably... if ever there was a booby prize,
the commode would be it.
:)

Ahhh, shame. Booby prize is better.

Aah, that is a good idea actually but it's too late this time :D

anyway, as we getting closer to the end of the csscgc2012, I decided to post an update.

We got 25 games so far, with "Å I ÅA Ä E Ö" and "Spacky Slots" being latest two games.

Spacky Slots has a (kind of) development blog, here: http://liardgames.weebly.com/

http://cgc.zx.gen.tr/index.php?game=1226025116
http://cgc.zx.gen.tr/index.php?game=1229174045

One little note, you still got time and chance to win (or lose?)! You can even try and design games now! A typical crap game only takes 4-6 hours (Or minutes)
to complete!

Dear css,

I'm here to inform you about the deadline extension of 10 more days!

As you know, this year csscgc hit the bottom with only 25 entries. So if you got any idea or half baked code laying around somewhere, you got 10 more days to save the csscgc2012.

New deadline is Jan 11, 2013 23:55!

Also, I want to thank you every participant to the day, for sparing enough time to write a game and share it over crap game compo.

25 or 125 entry, I still feel it was a joy hosting the compo, I hope I will do this again in the future.

Anyway, now I need to return back to party.

Happy new year to you all!

see you later css!

Wow! we are almost done, only minutes remaining, and I am asking everyone to vote if it's possible. Voting will be open until Jan 18. After that I'll announce the winners.

If you didn't register for an account yet, use this link,

Hello, I am announcing csscgc 2012's official results
(for a detailed info about scoring and score table, please consider downloading the csscgc2012 package from wos archive and read the note file.)

The winner of Comp.Sys.Sinclair Crap Game Competition 2012 is:
Mathman By R-Tape.
R-Tape will get a 8bit computer of his choice.

And the Loser is:
Ninety Nine By Equinox.
Equinox will be the next host of csscgc 2013 (one again after 10 years). If he refuses to be the host, R-Tape will host the compo. If both of them refuses to host the cgc2013, Pgyuri and AyChip will be in the line. After them, it will be voluntary.

All in all, people may feel that they are misjudged, and I am truly sorry for that. As compo itself, please consider this judge is also crap. I thank you everyone for participating crap game competition 2012, and keeping this tradition alive.

It's not there yet. The CSSCGC 2011 archive is missing too - do you
mind uploading that at the same time?

It's sort of poetic in a way that the winner is someone with terrible
judgement.

Just wanted to say thanks to Arda for being an excellent host and staying sane despite an onslaught of crap software.

The honour of being the 2013 host has fallen to me. I'm in the process of setting up a suitably rubbish website, so please be patient and an announcement will follow in a few days.

In the meantime please get coding crappateers!

So equinox turned it down then? Thought he'd "won" the honour this year.

Yes. Although the CGC has been going for ages now, Crapmas comes but once
a year, and I thought I'd better give someone else a go. And it means I
can enter! (I've got a few fragments of a really amusing game I was
thinking of entering last year, but I didn't get around to making it.)

If I win/lose again then I will probably do it though. So beware.

"Despite"? That's the charm, Shirley?

Anyway, I concur. Good job, Arda, and good luck R-Tape. I epxect I'll
continue my 15-year[1] tradition of being *really* crap and failing to
enter, but you never know...

[1] What? Really?[2]

[2] Well, no. Not quite. Probably. But it's uncomfortably close.

Hi, yep Mr equinox turned it down as he'd already had the pleasure. I'm a bit suprised to have ended up hosting it but it should be fun.

Cheers Duncan, 15 years eh, well I hope you find time to create something truly crappy this year!
