#701 — Spectrum meet, London, April(-ish) 2012

It's once again high time that we had some sort of Spectrum-related 
meet. In the absence of any other suggestions, I propose that we once 
again congregate in the Gipsy Moth, Greenwich on a Saturday afternoon 
for Spectrum-related discussions, beer, SQIJ! video reviews and whatever 
else takes our fancy.

I've set up a Doodle poll <http://www.doodle.com/ubz9de8fuwgfnzas> to 
work out which date would be best for people. Please fill it in if 
you're interested in attending.

To pre-empt the usual comments: yes, this is in London again. This is 
because it's the easiest for the largest number of people to get to. 
Anyone who wants to organise a meet elsewhere is very welcome to: you've 
had a year since the last London meet to do something about it.

OK, the meet is now set for Saturday 21st April. Nominally 2pm at the 
Gipsy Moth, but the start time is somewhat arbitrary - turn up when you 
can :-)

Hope to see both old and new faces there.

As much as I'd like to join you all, I'm afraid that the budget won't 
stretch to a jaunt down to London. Bah!

Unless someone can suggest a cheap way of getting from Glasgow to the 
Gipsy Moth on a minimal budget? Providing favours to truckers isn't a 
valid option either (Phew! Truckers across the UK).

Enter the Glaswegian chip shop and talk to the owner. He says his  
deep-fryer cannot be used because of a power cut. Go back to the treehouse  
(there is a coin behind the fourth piece of fencing) and use the METAL  
RULER to bridge the gap in the generator, then turn it on. Go back to the  
chip shop and you will be given a DEEP-FRIED MARS BAR. Take this to the  
museum and use it to stick the BROKEN VASE FRAGMENTS back together. Talk  
to the woman in the art museum for a RAIL TICKET.

Now you can enter the station and travel to London. More next month.
