Actually, the listed games all seem to be rather popular ones, so I'd assume that the site doesn't have enough data yet to make accurate correlations, and just tends to recommend the games that almost everybody likes. It is attempting to find users who have similar voting patterns to yours and then telling you what they like. "Genres" may be an emergent behaviour of this algorithm, but it's not built-in.
