When run from the command line it emits bp> a considerable flow of status information to the controlling bp> terminal. A few ideas on this. It looks like some others are having issues with modern versions of libusb and this device (ie: OWON device can't get claimed by libusb started with kernel 6.4.15). This could mean that you need to find an older/unsupported build of Raspbian that may no longer receive updates.
