If I make a map addition/correction in Google Maps it's almost always approved automatically. Some feature additions/correction take 24 hours or so to be approved. Propagation to Google Earth takes another 5 - 7 days. eg, a restaurant near here was razed to the ground and I corrected it, and it was removed from the maps the same day. OTOH, when I add trails, they are all but instantly added. It took me some time (a few weeks) to earn the 'trust' of the system (via "approvals" from other trusted map editors). -- I was born a 1%er - I'm just more equal than the rest.

I am in the uk and have only been out of Hospital for a couple of weeks after a Left hip replacement ( as it's the second they call it a 'revision'). because of my age it didn't go too well at first but does improve with every day. -- Neil Reverse ‘i’ and ‘e’ Remove ‘l’ to get address. --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! One of the local retail operations is closing down, advertised that on the local facebook community noticeboard without saying where the store is. maps.google got no results at all on the store name. Apple maps found it fine, but it was the previous store location. google had the new location fine, but not maps.google for some reason.

In order of use: 1. Waze 2. Google Maps 3. Scout 4. Nav Free 5. Apple Maps 6. MapQuest I use Waze primarily because I like the interactive aspect of users. I am warned of upcoming speed traps, heavy traffic, disabled vehicles, etc. The map is excellent and I truly appreciate the night mode and automatic map scaling. Occasionally it gives screwy directions, like taking back roads instead of main roads. It uses its own maps. Google Maps is my next choice because of its excellent search function and directions. Since they own Waze now they incorporate some of the features such as accident reports or construction into their own product as well. If it had a night feature and automatic scaling it would be my primary navigation aid. It sorely lacks in customization features though. Scout is all right, but its map cuts out lots of detail and the ETA is off until you get near your destination. It uses Tom Tom maps. Nav Free is on my phone in case I lose or don't want to use data. The maps are downloaded to the phone. It uses Open Maps. Apple Maps, well I just don't like the interface. I'll save judgement on the accuracy of its maps since it is a new product. Mapquest has the worst interface of all of these apps. I only keep it to compare unfamiliar routes since it uses a different map system. I also use Total Traffic to see an overall traffic condition of my area. I use Gas Buddy for updated gas prices.
