Seriously, Michael:

Your life is almost over, and you can't muster up a better insult than that?

C'mon, it was really quite good, it is amazing how people's prejudices
affect how they see things.

Mine is, relatively speaking. If I live to 100, I've already lived
more than 72% if my life, so it is almost over.

There are good indications that the genetic lifespan of humans will top
out around 120 or so. In that case you are just barely over half (okay
60%). Anyway that is the way I look at since then I am barely middle
aged.

Well my Great-Grandmother made it to 114, and then she slipped on the
ice and that finished her off in less than a week.
My father is going to be 92 in July. Of my 4 grand parents two made it
into their 90's, and two didn't.

I am 66, and so far so good.

life expectancy keeps increasing and there's no reason that it will top
out.

The keyword here is "will"; it hasn't yet, and definitely hasn't for my
generation.

But that's not the case.

...but the dimwitted are still curious to know just what is funny about
the improbable leap from
"fava" to "favour". ...or is that an odd example of NZ "hyoumore"?

The "leap" is that the original quote is "fava", Tim Cook was offering
to do Steve Jobs a "favour" ... and if you mispronounce / bad accent
either word, you get the other.
