Heh. I watched one of those Almighty Johnsons things (in Canada) a whilst back, and it was pretty bad. It's interesting culturally though to see NZ locations. That buff dude with his shirt only tucked in at the front was intriguing. I started wearing my shirts that way until the oul' Woman threatened me with violence. For some reason Americans have gone a bit crazy over employing New Zealand "actors" ... there's the fool in the silly Banshee series, Tinkerbell in Once Upon A Time, and a few others I can't remember from the recent newspaper article. Obviously they wanted hopelessly bad actors to make the American actors look better and so they have someone to blame when the show gets cancelled. ;-) > Tomorrow's Waitangi Day, I see by my multicultural wall calendar (with > the late 19th century booze ads). What do y'all do on Waitangi Day? The same as any other day ... nothing special. :-) Waitangi Day usually has some silly commemorative event up at the small town of Waitangi with a few Government ministers and members of the public going ... and a few fanatic loonies protesting about their land being stolen. But that's really all that happens. Just another meaningless public holiday.
