Running 10.10.3, my Google Chrome keeps opening right on startup. I have gone into the setting and there is no setting that tells it to open upon startup. Is there any way to keep this from happening?

Maybe you have a webloc file in your startup list. -- Barry Margolin, barmar@alum.mit.edu Arlington, MA *** PLEASE post questions in newsgroups, not directly to me ***

It's the Login Items tab in the Accounts preference. This is the same as clicking on "Open at Login" in the Dock. You said you checked the settings, which setting did you check? -- Barry Margolin, barmar@alum.mit.edu Arlington, MA *** PLEASE post questions in newsgroups, not directly to me ***

In general, you only see this setting in the application itself when it's a background-only application or it works using a menu-bar icon. Ordinary applications don't usually provide this option in their settings, you just use the Dock setting or the Accounts preference. -- Barry Margolin, barmar@alum.mit.edu Arlington, MA *** PLEASE post questions in newsgroups, not directly to me ***

Is "Open at login" checked? -- K. Lang may your lum reek.
