I just got the new MBA in. Spec'd as a 1.4 GHz i5 Dual core (2.7 GHz
turbo).

Installed MenuMeters and it's showing 4 graphs.
(my quad-core HT shows 8 graphs).

So it would seem it has 2 HT cores - not mentioned AFAICT on the Apple site.

In passing, that is the same processor as in the new iMac (low price) so
its performance will be about 30% better than what people may expect
from the low basic clock spec.

(Both pages quote: "1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (Turbo Boost up to
2.7GHz) with 3MB shared L3 cache" and the same memory).

Also is intel HD 5000 graphics (as is the low end iMac).

Okay so it's HT'd ...

Where did you haul that out of?

Yes, it's there, too.

Launch the Terminal emulator, then 'sudo dmesg'.
Or boot in the verbose mode, but it flies by fast
there.
