Interestingly, the one aspect of the MacPro which is very good is the display. for $5000 the calibrated/certified display is up against other low volume displays that sell for $15k to $20k. Again, to Hollywood studios with lots of money. But the computer itself is nothing special in terms of performace compared to wintel boxes. Many people who work in video have bought it because it is affordable for their work.
