Needed a cordless drill.
Went to Réno-dépôt for a DeWalt. Box screamed: Made In USA.
Bought Makita: Japanese Co. Made in China.
Fuck Trump and his tariffs.
Got back to my house and charged it up. Realized most of my power tools
are Makita, but I do have a very nice DeWalt power driver that I bought
about 7 years ago. Nice. But last. (ie: Fuck Trump and his tariffs).

I think both co's make fine cordless tools.
My real issue is where it was made. Not buying from Trump's America.

I'm aware of that. OTOH R-D's supply chain and store employees in
Canada are paid in Canada.
Lowe's investments in Canada don't affect some assembly line worker in
the US very much. Me not buying an American product does.

Not buying from Trump's America. Not willing to let Donald Trump make my decisions for me in either direction. I don't let him live in my head rent-free like so many people do (both those for and against him). Trump is a pimple on the ass of history and not much more than that.

He seems to believe in Tariffs. I believe in boycotts in that case ...
Even the arch-right Koch brothers are trying to tell Trump that tariffs
are bad for the US ... Trump's narcissism makes him pretty deaf ...

Trumpo's $50 billion in tariffs against china have already resulted in $120 billion in retaliation ($50 billion in tariffs, and they dropped a $70 billion agreement).
